Where the Earth is Worshipped, Plants Become Prayers — Santshri Sakharam Maharaj Ropvatika Blooms at Mangal Graha Mandir
On the sacred evening of June 26, the newly developed Santshri Sakharam Maharaj Ropvatika at Mangal Graha Mandir, Amalner was graced by the visit of Santshri Param Pujya Prasad Maharaj — where devotion to the divine and reverence for the earth became one.

The Earth is Not Just Soil. She is Divine.
In the philosophy of Sanatan Dharma, Bhumi is not merely the ground we walk upon. She is Bhumi Mata — the living, breathing Mother Goddess who holds all life within her. Every seed that falls into her is a prayer offered. Every tree that rises from her is a temple raised.
And so, when a nursery takes root within the sacred premises of a temple — it is not simply a garden. It becomes a living altar. A prayer that breathes and grows.
On the evening of Friday, June 26, something quietly sacred happened at Shri Mangal Graha Mandir, Amalner. The newly developed Santshri Sakharam Maharaj Ropvatika — a lovingly tended plant nursery named in honour of the revered saint — received the divine presence of Santshri Param Pujya Prasad Maharaj, the Gadipati of Santshri Sakharam Maharaj Wadi Sansthan. He unveiled the inauguration plaque, offered his gracious blessings, and showered generous good wishes upon this green sanctuary and the Mangal Graha Seva Sanstha.
Twenty Years of Devotion in Every Root
This nursery did not come to life overnight. Under the steadfast guidance of Dr. Digambar Mahale, President of Mangal Graha Seva Sanstha, and with the dedicated expertise of Greinery Consultant Shri Subodh Patil, this nursery has been nurtured with love and discipline for over twenty years.
Every plant here carries the memory of hands that served not for reward — but for reverence.
The recent sweeping renovation has elevated the nursery into a more purposeful and spiritually meaningful space, organized into distinct sections:
Vermicompost Project — returning to the earth what she so generously gives us
Rose Garden — offering beauty as a prayer to the divine
Tree Plantation Zone — planting today what future devotees will seek shade and solace beneath
Bio-fertilizer System — nurturing life in harmony with nature, not against it
Plastic Crushing Unit — purifying the earth we call our mother
Nature Seating Area (Nisarg Baithak Sthal) — a quiet, green sanctuary where the restless heart can pause, breathe, and feel the presence of God
When a Saint Walked Amongst the Plants
Before entering the nursery, Santshri Prasad Maharaj first took darshan of Shri Mangal Dev at the temple — as if seeking the blessings of the earth's own deity before walking upon his sacred ground. He was then welcomed with traditional padyapujan by Secretary Suresh Baviskar, Joint Secretary Dilip Bahiram, and Treasurer Girish Kulkarni, while temple priests Shubham Vaishnav, Hemant Gosavi, and Pawan Sharma performed the sacred rituals with full devotion.
Walking through the nursery — observing the medicinal plants, the flowering trees, the thoughtfully designed sections — Maharaj expressed deep appreciation and satisfaction. He conveyed his firm belief that such initiatives do not merely plant seeds in soil. They plant seeds in the consciousness of society — awakening a collective sense of sacred responsibility toward the natural world.
His grace and blessings, offered freely and warmly, added a new dimension of sanctity to this already sacred space.
A Temple That Teaches You to Give Back
What makes Shri Mangal Graha Mandir extraordinary is not only its distinction as one of India's rarest Mangal Dev temples. It is not only the sacred glory of housing the world's first Bhumi Mata Mandir — the goddess who is the earth herself.
What makes it truly extraordinary is this: this temple does not only invite you to come and receive. It teaches you to give back.
To plant. To protect. To serve without expectation.
The Santshri Sakharam Maharaj Ropvatika is a living, breathing expression of that teaching.
Here, inside these temple walls, nature and the divine do not exist separately. They are one and the same.
Come for darshan. Linger in the garden. Leave carrying the seed of a transformation you did not expect.
